PUEBLA, Mexico – The Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP) is putting the final touches on preparations to host the Universiada Nacional 2025, a national sporting event organized by the National Council of Sports Education A.C. (CONDDE).From May 27 to June 10, the top student-athletes from across Mexico will compete in 34 different sports.
Early Events Kick Off Competition
Competition begins May 27 wiht events including triathlon,sport climbing,swimming,taekwondo,badminton,fencing,beach volleyball,chess,tennis,table tennis,baseball,indoor soccer,and handball. Aerobic gymnastics and karate do are slated to begin May 29, followed by volleyball the next day, and judo wrapping up the month.
june Brings More Sporting Events
The schedule continues into June with 3×3 basketball, weightlifting, and paddle tennis starting June 1.Esports will begin the following day. On June 3, elimination rounds start for kickboxing, university wrestling, golf, rugby, archery, flag football, basketball, soccer, and softball.
Closing Events
The Universiada Nacional 2025 will conclude with boxing, diving and powerlifting events on June 5. The final events will be in track and field and will conclude on June 10.
