Thomas Krasonis and Marko Stipp Motorsport conducted a test at Autodrom Most in preparation for the regular season finale—Four-time Champion Alon Day provided coaching to the Greek driver.
In anticipation of the regular season finale scheduled for August 31-September 1, Marko Stipp Motorsport headed to Autodrom Most in the Czech Republic to test their No. 46 Chevrolet Camaro. During the testing session, Thomas Krasonis completed numerous laps, aiming to shave off that final tenth of a second on the demanding circuit set to host the fifth race weekend of the 2024 NASCAR Whelen Euro Series season. To assist with this critical event in the Czech Republic, four-time champion Alon Day joined the Greek driver to offer coaching and aid the team in refining the car’s setup.

“The test went very well,” Krasonis remarked after his laps on the official track day. “We made significant improvements compared to the pace we exhibited here last year. With the assistance of the Marko Stipp Motorsport team, we fine-tuned the car’s setup. Alon Day, Marco, Sven, Ole, Marciello, Chris, and of course Marko Stipp were present to help maximize the car’s performance. Their support enabled me to prepare thoroughly for the forthcoming race. it was a productive day of testing, and we achieved some solid results.”
In the 2024 NWES season, Krasonis is competing in both championships. He claimed his first EuroNASCAR podium at Brands Hatch and secured his initial pole position for Sunday’s race. Currently, in the overall EuroNASCAR 2 standings, the Athenian holds the fifth position, trailing championship leader Martin Doubek by just 48 points. Following the races at Autodrom Most, all competitors will discard their lowest points finish from the regular season before heading to the double-point playoffs at Oschersleben and Zolder.
