HOMESTEAD, Fla. — This weekend, a family from Richmond, Indiana, will have their name showcased on a race car at the Homestead-Miami Speedway in Florida.
To mark the Global 50th Anniversary of Ronald McDonald House Charities and support families in need, 28 NASCAR drivers will display the names of Ronald McDonald House families on their cars during the race on Sunday.
Hoosier driver Chase Briscoe will pilot the #14 Ford Mustang, featuring the name of the Jett family on the door of his vehicle.
Earlier this year, Ahmir Jett was born with spina bifida along with additional health complications, which led his family to reside at the Ronald McDonald House while he received care in the NICU. His mother expressed that the staff treated them “like family.”
This race is part of the NASCAR Cup Series scheduled for Sunday.
