The Halifax “Rage Room” is hosting a special event called “Smash the Tariffs.” Customers who purchase regular packages like “anger Management” or ”Parental Leave,” receive a complimentary photo of Donald Trump to destroy. Framed photos of other figures, like Vice President J.D. vance adn Tesla CEO Elon Musk, are also available for an additional $5, with proceeds benefiting local food banks.

Terry LeBlanc, the owner of the “Rage Room,” stated the idea sparked due to public anxiety and discontent over U.S. tariffs and threats of economic annexation.One 14-year-old customer, Matthew Burke, saeid his actions against Trump’s photo reflected his feelings about “the way he treats this country.” his 17-year-old sister, Lillian, used a golf club to strike a photo of the former commander-in-chief multiple times, stating she came “to safely vent frustration and anger.”
How Rage Rooms Work
leblanc emphasizes that the ”Rage Room” offers a safe and healthy way to relieve stress without cleanup. Participants are provided with protective gear such as dark jumpsuits, paintball masks, and flak jackets. Items available for destruction typically include dishes,glassware,appliances,large-screen televisions,and various electronics sourced from local thrift stores.A basic demolition session, called “Smash It 101,” costs $49. Much of the debris is sent for recycling.
