CHARLOTTE, N.C. — On Monday, Hailie Deegan announced her transition from NASCAR to IndyCar, where she will compete in the Indy NXT Series next year with HMD Motorsports.
Deegan is set to drive the No. 38 entry, participating in the full slate of 14 races within the series, which sits just below the IndyCar level. She will join a five-driver lineup at HMD, which includes Caio Collet, Josh Pierson, Tommy Smith, and Bryce Aron.
