Maryland Sports Association to Hold Fundraising Golf Tournament for Dallas Korean-American National Sports Festival
The Maryland Sports association will host a golf tournament on May 18th at Musket Ridge golf Club in Myersville to raise funds for its athletes participating in the Korean-American National Sports Festival in Dallas, Texas, scheduled for June 20-22. The association plans to send a delegation of approximately 150 athletes and officials competing in nine sports.
Shin Myung-hwa, president of the Maryland Korean Cultural Arts Center and former national Taekwondo athlete who represented Maryland in the 2001 Houston Korean-american National Sports Festival, will serve as the tournament chair. Choi Chul-ho, chairman of the Maryland Sports Association, will serve as the readiness committee chair. The Maryland Sports Association is collaborating with the Maryland Golf Association, led by President Kim Gil-young to ensure the tournament’s success.
“We are cheering for the athletes who are competing in the Dallas Korean-American National Sports festival with the pride of Maryland sports,” said Shin Myung-hwa. “we hope they will do their best and show the potential of maryland sports.”
Oh Se-back, president of the Maryland Sports Association, stated that the association plans to send approximately 150 athletes and officials to the Dallas Korean-American National Sports Festival to compete in nine sports, including soccer, badminton, Taekwondo, golf, shooting, tennis, bowling, basketball, and swimming.”We will repay the support with great games and good results,” he emphasized.
