Badminton Club Pamiers Celebrates Accomplished Season, Gears Up for Major Tournament
PAMIERS, France – The Badminton Club Appaméen (BCAP) is celebrating a successful season, marked by victories in both departmental and regional competitions. The club is also preparing to host its annual tournament at the Bayle gymnasium in Pamiers on April 26th and 27th.
Triumphs on the Court: Departmental and Regional success
BCAP’s second team secured victories against St. Girons 1 (4-3) and Pamiers 3 (6-1) in departmental play. Meanwhile, Pamiers 3 faced defeats against Pamiers 2 and Foix 1 (2-5). The final departmental interclub match is scheduled for April 6th. At the regional level, BCAP triumphed over Argeles Gazost (6-2) but lost to Ramonville (2-6).
Regional League Secured for Next Season
Pamiers holds fourth place in its regional pool,mathematically ensuring its spot in the regional league for the upcoming season.
Annual Tournament Anticipated: Hundreds Expected
The annual BCAP tournament promises to be a major event, with hundreds of players from across the region and beyond expected to compete. Last year’s tournament was a complete success,drawing a large crowd and featuring intense competition. Sixty-two doubles teams competed on Saturday, followed by 54 mixed doubles teams on Sunday. Club volunteers are preparing to welcome players and spectators, continuing the tradition of awarding winners in each series with the coveted prize of a ham, and gourmet prizes for finalists.
Ariège Departmental Championship: Registration Open
Registration is now open for the Ariège Departmental Championship,scheduled for May 17th and 18th at the Bayle gymnasium in Pamiers. The championship is open to senior and veteran players, and also youth players from the “poussin” to “junior” categories. Adults can participate in three different categories.
