Intensive Badminton Camp Concludes with Tournament Success
From February 22nd to March 2nd, the Guadeloupe Badminton League hosted an intensive training camp for young badminton enthusiasts. The program combined rigorous training sessions with recreational activities,culminating in a tournament where participants showcased their newly honed skills.
Saint Martin contingent participates in Guadeloupe badminton camp
five young players from the SXM Badminton Club in Saint Martin had the chance to participate alongside players from Guadeloupe and Saint-Pierre-et-miquelon. Accompanied by four supervisors, the trainees alternated between badminton sessions and various activities. These included hikes, treasure hunts, orienteering, laser tag, karaoke, and even a session of Blackminton, a variation of badminton played in black light.
Young Athletes Earn Podium Finishes
The Saint Martin players distinguished themselves at the final tournament, securing several podium finishes. Mathys Rosas Degoy won the MenS Singles Series 6. Eliam Senecaux reached the semi-finals in Series 5. In doubles, Lucas Regent Caillat and Eliam Senecaux triumphed in Series 3. Rose Giroud and Nina Poulcallec reached the finals in the women’s Doubles series 2, while Rose Giroud and Jin Weston won Series 3 in mixed doubles.
