More than 300 badminton players are expected to compete at the Brittany Veteran Badminton Championships this weekend in Châteaugiron.Over 30 volunteers will be on hand at the Salle de la Gironde to support the event.
Top Veteran Players to Compete Across Multiple Divisions
The competition, open to players aged 35 and over, will showcase the region’s best veteran badminton talent. Titles will be awarded in age categories ranging from 35 to 70 years old. The five disciplines include men’s singles,women’s singles,men’s doubles,women’s doubles,and mixed doubles.
Festive Atmosphere Anticipated at Regional Tournament
“This championship is the perfect prospect to see the best Breton players compete in a both sporty and festive atmosphere,” said stéphen Hesry, president of USC badminton. “The matches take place over two days with extended hours to allow all participants and spectators to fully enjoy this sporting event.”

Hesry added that the event will “highlight the vitality and importance of badminton on a local and regional level,” inviting fans to support the athletes.
