Elliott’s absence from the top 10 in the season rankings for 2023 can be attributed to a snowboarding injury followed by a race suspension. After being sidelined for six races, he received a one-race suspension for colliding with Denny Hamlin at the Coca-Cola 600. This season marked the first time since 2017 that he did not secure a win.
