Two-time NASCAR Cup ⁤Series champion Kyle Busch is providing his ⁢son Brexton the chance to become the next‌ great ⁢racer in their ⁢family. The nine-year-old future racer has numerous ‍track options ahead of him.

“Many different things can happen. That’s what we’ve ‌been considering,” Kyle Busch explained during an interview with Jeff Gluck of The Athletic. “Currently, he‍ participates in junior sprints, micros, and Bandoleros. When Brexton turns 10, he’ll be ‍eligible ⁤to drive Legend cars,⁣ which we’ll add next May.⁤ At 12, he ‌can start racing in the CARS Tour‌ Pro Late Models, so he’ll likely begin that then.”

Kyle also aims for Brexton to enhance his road course⁣ skills as he grows, following in his father’s footsteps, which have⁤ led to four career NASCAR Cup ⁣Series road course victories and 29 Top 10 finishes across 56 career appearances.

“We need to ensure he⁤ gains more road racing experience,” Busch said. “I don’t believe he has enough ⁢road course exposure at this point. Therefore, ⁤we plan to do some karting this offseason and collaborate with Greg Ives,⁢ Max Papis, and others who have significant experience with‍ their children. There’s a road racing series,⁢ Trans Am TA2, in⁢ which he’ll probably participate at ⁣14.”

“I want him to experience both dirt and asphalt; I‌ don’t believe he should‍ specialize too early,” Busch expressed. ⁤”I like⁣ our ‍current approach: He‍ gets behind the‌ wheel of his Bandolero car and understands what he needs to do on pavement, and ⁣then he switches to his dirt car, grasping what’s required there. I genuinely appreciate ⁢this blend. By the‌ time he⁣ turns 16, he ⁣should be prepared to step into some Trucks.”
