In a bid to promote family bonding and healthy lifestyles, Dongjak-gu, Seoul, is launching a free sports program for families in May. The program, a collaborative effort with Chung-Ang University, will offer football (soccer) and other sports activities every Saturday from May 10-31.

As part of the partnership, Dongjak-gu plans to formalize the collaboration with an agreement with Chung-Ang University later this month.
Program Details: Age-Specific Football Coaching and Fitness for Parents
Specifically designed for families with children, the program divides participating children into two age groups: 6-7 years old and 8-10 years old, with 48 children in each group. The children will receive one-hour football coaching sessions in small groups of 12. While the children are engaged in football, parents can participate in functional stretching and learn proper running techniques under the guidance of a qualified instructor.
Benefits for University Participants
In return for their involvement, the university students will receive volunteer hours credits and regular access to the Nodeulnaru Park football field.

Registration is open until April 30 thru the Dongjak-gu district office website. Spots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Successful applicants will be notified individually between May 1 and 2.
